National Courtesy Corps - Volunteers Opportunities
The National Courtesy Corps is the elite group of high school and post high school students as well as advisors and chaperones who are selected to represent their state delegation. These individuals are afforded the opportunity to work with and build a network of industry and educational resources while gaining skills, leadership qualities, developing friendships and having fun. The National Courtesy Corps guidelines are available at
We are anticipating more than 200 courtesy corps members will be needed this year. To achieve this goal, we ask every state association to look at the possibility of supplying us with several members. The work of these members is deeply appreciated by the technical committees. This is also a great opportunity for students to network with industry and business partners. Conference registration fees are waived for these individuals. Housing, meals and entertainment is provided. The individual needs to be responsible for transportation to and from Louisville, KY. In addition each member will receive several shirts to wear during the week.
We ask members to arrive on Saturday, June 23, by 4 p.m. so they can attend their first event Saturday evening at KEC. All Courtesy Corps members start to work in the contest areas on Sunday, June 24. They will depart from conference on Saturday, June 30.
All NCC participants will be housed at the University of Louisville’s Community Park in Louisville. This campus is about 12-15 minutes from the Kentucky Exposition Center.
SkillsUSA will develop an individual schedule for each student and advisor listing work assignments, breaks, free time, etc., and there will be a separate advisor session to review student duties and responsibilities.
There is also a new registration process. To register, go to: https://w3.smartreg.com/webreg/SKILLSUSA18/ and follow the instructions. The site will open on March 1st.2018 .Dorothy Loges from Missouri will serve as the NCC chair again, and we look forward to working with her. Any questions should be directed to her at firstname.lastname@example.org
